Minimally invasive Periodontal therapy is utilizing micro instruments and techniques designed to do minimal tissue trauma while achieving the optimal end result found in traditional treatment. High magnification and lasers that are kind to the tissues are other means of minimally invasive periodontal therapy.
What are the benefits of Minimally Invasive Periodontal Therapy?
This type of therapy normally results in faster healing, less bleeding and less post treatment pain. The procedures tend to be shorter in length. Our patients seem more relaxed during the treatment.
What does Dr. John do to make a procedure minimally invasive?
Dr. John has found that utilizing the Er,Cr:YSGG laser enables him to get better access with minimal reflection of the tissues. For our grafting procedures, we will often recommend an allograft for the grafting material with a conservative pouch or tunnel access.
The repositioning of the supporting structures of the tooth/teeth to expose a problem below the gum line and/or to make a longer appearing tooth/teeth.
